Hetter Heating & Cooling is proud to have participated in ACCA's eighth annual Heat the Town program on Saturday, October 8, 2011. Over seventy-five service technicians & office administrators & personnel from eighteen central Ohio area heating & cooling contractors participated. Over two hundred twenty homes in need of a FREE furnace maintenance check were serviced. In years past, at least a handful of furnaces are diagnosed as being inoperable & are eventually replaced by an ACCA member company. Social service agency IMPACT provides ACCA with the list of homes who qualify based on income or hardship. Hetter Heating & Cooling owner & president John Hetterscheidt has been the chairman of Heat the Town now for its entire eight year existence. John devotes countless hours to this project every fall. His time spent at the actual Heat the Town day is small in comparison to the amount legwork & meeting time spent leading up to the event. We are all inspired & proud of his efforts. More than 67% of Hetter's staff participated this year. The event itself was hosted by Palmer Donovan with a special thanks to Giant Eagle for providing food for the event. Over 75 CO detectors were installed in homes that needed them. Also, added to Heat the Town this year was 'Warm our Community'. Coats, hats, gloves & blankets were collected by ACCA member companies which will be distributed to central Ohio area shelters. Hetter Heating & Cooling is so proud to be a part of this event.
